Dobrá Tea is a tearoom & restaurant café in downtown Ashland, Oregon that offers freshly brewed loose-leaf teas, boba tea, food, and pastries. Traveling to tea growing countries every year, we source teas directly from tea farmers around the world including those in China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

Healthy Boba Tea

We offer made-to-order healthy boba tea, a popular drink that originated in Taiwan. Our boba teas are made with a base of freshly brewed loose leaf teas, and then sweetened with pure cane sugar. We use real fruit, real milks, and grade A boba made of tapioca starch. We take pride in using pure tea and boba without any artificial flavors or colors, ensuring a natural, healthy and wholesome experience for their customers.

We support local businesses, farmers, herbalists, and artists right here at home and in our region. The Way of Tea

For some people, tea offers a way to find peace and serenity during its preparation and consumption. We serve and brew each tea according to the tradition of its country of origin. In a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, the tearoom provides a meaningful space that honors both tea and the individual. We find that drinking tea daily can improve one’s mind and body.

Organic Tea

All of our teas fall into one of the following categories: certified organic, wild arbor, permaculturally grown, naturally grown without pesticides, or meets European Union’s strict pesticide, chemical, and heavy metal testing standards. We take great pride in sourcing our teas directly from farmers who do not use pesticides and chemicals. Each year, we remove teas from our menu that do not meet our strict standards. We are committed to giving back to our local and world community. With generous annual donations to local non-profits, schools, and events, we aim to help our community thrive. Our Story

The story of Dobrá Tea (Good Tea) began in Prague during the last few years of communism. A group of young tea lovers began meeting to drink teas smuggled into Czechoslovakia. The elite had easier access to high quality teas at that time. In 1989, communism fell. Dobrá Tea opened its first Bohemian-style tearoom in Prague in 1993. The tearoom became a place where like-minded individuals could gather and taste the world of tea. With much success, the company began to spread its tea concept throughout eastern Europe. In 2003, Dobrá Tea opened its first United States tearoom in Burlington, Vermont. The tearoom in Ashland, Oregon is the sixth one in the U.S. All tearooms are locally owned and independently operated. We welcome you to Ashland’s growing tea community!
